ABSTRACT
Environmental welfare issues, pollution concerns, fossil fuels depletion as well as political reasons (aiming to defy the Arab world dominance of energy resources due to its leadership in the oil and gas industry) have caused interest in new energy resources and engines to increase greatly in recent years. In view of such a surge of interest in new energy resources, the Arab world must prove to the world that it is still the leader nation capable of such energy resources production at premier quality. The purpose of the present paper is to suggest research-worthy directions that if properly exploited by Arab scientist can help the Arab world to maintain its dominance of the international energy market. These are biofuels, modifications to existing engines and new alternative engines
